West Lafayette, IN -- (Sports Network) - Dustin Ware's three-pointer with less than a minute remaining proved to be the game-winner in Georgia's 61-60 victory over Eastern Michigan in the consolation round of the NIT Season Tip- Off Tournament. Ware finished with 11 points, while Corey Butler scored a team-high 12 for the Bulldogs (2-1), who were coming off a 19-point setback to Loyola-Chicago on Monday. Terrance Woodbury added 11 points in the win. Justin Dobbins recorded 22 points and seven rebounds, and Brandon Bowdry chipped in 14 points and eight caroms for the Eagles (1-2), who fell to 11th- ranked Purdue in the opening round of the tournament. Georgia led 32-30 at the break, but an 11-0 run helped EMU lead for most of the second half. The Bulldogs battled back and Ware's triple from the top of the key gave them a 61-59 lead with 57 seconds left. A Bowdry foul shot made it a one-point game, and Georgia missed two front-ends of a 1-and-1 down the stretch that gave the Eagles a chance to win. The Bulldogs' final miss from the stripe occurred with just over five ticks remaining, and Antonio Green's last-second shot was off the mark.
