NCAA Game Summary - Idaho State At Hawaii

Honolulu, HI -- (Sports Network) - Roderick Flemings scored 17 points and added eight rebounds as Hawaii defeated Idaho State, 67-64, in overtime at Stan Sheriff Center. Bill Amis added 15 points and eight boards while Brandon Adams donated 10 points and six rebounds for the Rainbow Warriors (1-2), who snapped a nine- game losing streak dating back to last season and avoided their first 0-3 start to a season since the 1993-94 campaign. Amorrow Morgan had 26 points and five rebounds while Demetrius Monroe contributed 14 points and 11 boards for the Bengals (1-1), who had won four of six against Hawaii coming into the contest. In the extra session and trailing by a point, Hawaii took the lead for good as Flemings buried a jumper and, after Kal Bay missed a bucket, Amis followed with a slam for a 58-55 lead with 2:39 to play. The Bengal closed to within a point on two free throws from Monroe with 1:07 to play, but Kareem Nitoto followed with a pair of free throws and, following a Lucas Steijn missed jumper, Amis hit a pair of free throws to seal the win. Idaho State led by four points, 30-26, after 20 minutes of play, but Hawaii used an 8-0 run midway through the second half to tie the game. Trailing by two points with under 90 seconds to play, Morgan tied the game for Idaho State on a layup with 1:14 to play and neither side was able to get the winning bucket and the contest went to overtime.
