NCAA Game Summary - Miami-Ohio Vs. Ohio University

(Sports Network) - Michael Bramos scored a game-high 23 points, as the fifth-seeded Miami-Ohio RedHawks knocked off the fourth-seeded Ohio University Bobcats, 74-61, in quarterfinal action of the Mid-American Conference Tournament at Quicken Loans Arena.

Tyler Dierkers recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds for Miami (17-14). Kenny Hayes added 12 points in the win, and Nick Winbush finished with 10 off the bench.

OU (19-12) was paced by Jerome Tillman, who tallied 17 points and nine rebounds in a losing effort. Leon Williams scored 15 points and grabbed 11 boards, while Justin Orr finished with 12 points.

Miami shot 52 percent from the floor and knocked down 6-of-8 from beyond the arc in the opening half, taking a 39-35 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The RedHawks secured the win with stingy defense in the second stanza, holding OU to 9-of-31 shooting. Miami also managed to sink 11-of-13 free throws in the period.

Miami will square off with top-seed Kent State in the semifinals Friday at 9:30 p.m.
