NCAA Game Summary - Sacramento State At Washington State

Pullman, WA -- (Sports Network) - Taylor Rochestie recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 assists to help lead the Washington State Cougars to a 76-55 win over the Sacramento State Hornets in a non-conference battle at Friel Court. Rochestie, who shot 5-of-6 behind the three-point line, added three steals for the Cougars (3-0) while Klay Thompson also scored 17 points as he made good on 5-of-9 beyond the arc. Daven Harmeling and Aron Baynes both tacked on 13 points in the triumph. The Hornets (0-3) had just a single double-digit scorer on the night in Mike Edwards who knocked down all five of his field goal attempts for 10 points in the losing effort. WSU ran out to a 7-0 advantage early in the first half and never looked back, posting a 41-28 advantage at the break. In the second half the Cougars converted 6-of-13 out on the perimeter to keep the pressure on and put a 21-point win in the books. Washington State, which forced 18 turnovers on the night, actually shot better from three-point range (.517) than it did from the floor overall (.475).
