NCAA Game Summary - Toledo At Xavier

(Sports Network) - B.J. Raymond shot 7-of-8 from the floor and finished with 18 points, as the Xavier Musketeers cruised to an 81-65 win over the Toledo Rockets in a non-league tilt at the Cintas Center.

Derrick Brown (eight rebounds) and Dante Jackson each scored 14 for the Musketeers (2-0), who are off to a quick start after last year's 30-win season.

Tyrone Kent led all scorers with 37 points for Toledo (0-2). He shot 5-of-11 from beyond the arc and knocked down all 10 of his free-throw attempts. Jonathan Amos finished with 10 points in the loss.

The Rockets started cold and dug themselves an early hole, as they shot 8- of-29 from the floor (27.6 percent) in the first half and trailed, 36-19 at the break.

Both teams shot better than 50 percent from the field in the second stanza, though Xavier kept the Rockets at bay by knocking down 20-of-26 fouls shots in the frame.

Toledo's bench accounted for only three points in the game. The Rockets were also out-rebounded, 43-20.
