Teaching is the focus of the February SSO offering. The music of Haydn, Beethoven, Bernstein, Stravinsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rossini, and Piston will be performed, and the influence of music teachers for composers and performers will be explored.
Joining the Springfield Symphony Orchestra for a portion of the program will be the Springfield Youth Symphony. The SSO Music Educator of the Year award will be presented during the concert. $12 - $48
