Wine tasting with a different wine varietal & a different charity every other month hosted by Dayton Grand Hotel.DescriptionHow the blind wine tasting works: Each "team" can consist of 1-3 team members and is required to bring three bottles of the same designated wine (South American Reds). All “teams” are required to bring 3 bottles of wine, even if the team consists of only one person. It is possible to leave with more wine than you bring! Upon arrival, all 3 bottles are given to the Hosts, who will wrap 2 of the bottles to conceal the wine’s identity. The 2 wrapped bottles will have a number randomly assigned to them and will then be set out for tasting. The third bottle will be left unopened and will not be tasted or displayed. At the end of the night, everybody votes for their favorite (and least favorite) wine. The winning teams take home all of the unopened bottles. Teams can consist of up to 3 people. If, for example, 4 people wish to participate, they would be considered 2 teams and would need to bring six bottles to enter the event. This rule will be strictly enforced at the door.
