2012 GMVWA Holiday Tournament

German Township fire fighters battled a house fire at 2515 Troy Road on Friday afternoon, Dec. 28, 2012, about two miles west of the Upper Valley Mall near Springfield. The fire started as the result of unattended food on a stove, according to German Twp. Fire Chief Tim Holman, with flames fanned by open windows. All residents of the home including renters of an attached apartment vacated safely but the house will most likely be declared a total loss.
