  • A 12-year veteran who has spent his entire career in the American League. He has a career .234 batting average with 151 homers and 1,147 hits. He maintians a .961 fielding percentage - an 121 errors - in more than 1,000 games at third base. He also plays the outfield. The 35-year-old made $5.5 million this season. The A's hold an option on his contract for 2013.
  • Upton has spent 8 seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays, hitting a .255 in his career, with 118 homers and 910 hits in almost 1,000 games. He had 31 stolen bases in 2012. He also played shortstop, 2nd and 3rd base. Upton made $7 million in 2012.
  • The All-Star third baseman has spent nine years with the New York Mets. He has a career .301 batting average with 204 home runs and 1,426 hits. He has a .953 fielding percentage, committing 158 errors in 1,253 games. The 30-year-old made $16 million in 2012. The Mets hold a buyout option for 2013.
  • A career .263 hitter, Ludwick has 10 years of major league experience. He batter .275 with 26 homers and 116 in 422 at-bats with the Cincinnati Reds this season. The Reds hols a $500,000 buyout option on his $5 million contract for 2013.
  • The former Brave played in 48 games for the Nationals this season. He has a career .270 batting average with 93 home runs and 927 hits. In 11 seasons as a third baseman he has a .955 fielding average with 34 errors. DeRosa, 37, made $800,000 in 2012 in Washington.
  • A 9-year veteran, Ross has hit .262 in his career, with 763 hits and 122 home runs. He plays all three outfield positions and has a .989 fielding percentage. The Red Sox signed him to a 1-year deal in 2012 for $3 million.
  • The 38-year-old journeyman has played with seven teams since entering the league in 1996 with Toronto. He has a career .314 batting average with 41 homers and 1,044 hits. He has held a .984 fielding percentage over 17 seasons. He played the 2012 season with the Reds making $1 million.
  • The former longtime Phillie was traded to the Dodgers midseason. A career .275 hitter, he hit .255 with 152 hits, 11 homers and 80 strikeouts in 595 at-bats this season. He was paid $9.5 million in 2012.
  • Youkilis spent nine years with the Boston Red Sox before being traded midseason to the Chicago White Sox. He has a .283 career batting average with 148 home runs and 1,030 hits. Youkilis has a.966 fielding percentage with 36 errors in 442 games at third.
  • Sizemore hit .224 with 10 homers and 60 hits in 268 at-bats. The .269 career hitter and three-time All-Star made $5 million with the Cleveland Indians this season.
