It was a wonder of aerospace engineering, a supersonic plane that could slash the flight time between New York and London from eight hours to three and a half. But 10 years ago, the Concorde flew its last flights, eventually landing in museums like the Smithsonian. Many average travelers didn't have a chance to go down the gangway to board the flight, considering the price of the ticket usually reserved the trip for the rich, but now you can have a glimpse at the luxury that was the Concorde.

  • A Phoenix suburb with enough personality to hold its own, Tempe, Ariz. provides an affordable and enjoyable vacation destination with a climate to suit. The nation’s 46th largest city is a haven for musicians and artists, stunning architecture, and around-the-clock family entertainment. Guests can visit more than 2,800 furry friends at the Tulsa Zoo and Living Museum, where tickets are only $4 for kids and $8 for adults. Admission is half price on Mother’s and Father’s Day, and parking is free each weekday.
  • Greenville, S.C., is a charm-packed delight located along the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Join in the citywide Derby Week celebration at the Kentucky Derby Festival and Thunder of Louisville, the largest fireworks display in America.
