International Festival Of Horror in Cincinnati
The Mockbee, 2260 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio Date: October 29-31, 2004
Description: The International Festival of Horror will feature the best in underground Horror movies from around the world. Hosted at The Mockbee (2260 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio), there will be over 20 short and feature films from around the world, with an emphasis on quality, directing and storytelling. Movies will be shown every night starting at 6pm, with a last showing at Midnight. Winners this year include, I, Zombie, a locally produced documentary about Lexington horror host, I, Zombie; Florida Fights Back, a documentary about the Florida election issues in 2000 and winner of our "Truth is Scarier Than Fiction" contest; Curtis Armstrong (Revenge of the Nerds, Moonlighting, Better Off Dead, The Chronicle), stars in the short film Conversations, as a mortician who talks to dead people.

1st Annual Hometown Halloween Harvest

Description: The day begins with a children's parade and a costume conest. There will also be an adult Halloween costume contest and haunted trails for the "big kids." There will be arts and craft vendors on site. There will also be a guest appearance by Dr. Creep. He will be arriving in a hearse at 2 p.m. and will be on hand throughout the day for pictures and autographs as well as taking donations for Project Christmas Smiles.

Description: Stillwater and Livingwater United Methodist Churches are hosting their fourth annual “Light the Night” festival. This fall extravaganza will be held at Stillwater United Methodist Church in Butler Township. Open to the community at large, families and children of all ages are welcome to this FREE evening of fun! This fall celebration will include numerous scheduled activities for kids ages preschool – 6th grade. Harvest fun will include hayrides, bon-fire, face painting, crafts, balloon animals, carnival-type games, snacks, candy and more! Each child will receive their own treat bag to collect candy and special gift to take home! Don’t miss Smores and hot cider at the bon-fire and outdoor “Krazy Maze." Description: The Enchanted Forest is an exciting and fun alternative to scary Halloween events. This family-oriented event is at Aullwood Farm. Visitors can delight in an evening of fun starting with songs and stories around the campfire with Chris Rowlands. Groups will take a naturalist-led walk through Allwood's forest where they will encounter larger-than-life costumed creatures. Upon returning to the farm, walkers will enjoy apple cider and popcorn. Hot dogs, chips and pop may also be purchased for an additional cost.
