State officials say nearly 390,000 more doses of H1N1 vaccine are on the way to replenishing local health departments and hospitals around Ohio and in the Miami Valley.

Ohio Department of Health spokesman Kristopher Weiss said the fresh supplies of both nasal and injected vaccine were ordered Friday and should begin arriving on the front lines starting today. He said most of the state's earlier order of more than 595,000 doses already has been used.

Weiss said supplies of vaccine in Ohio remain relatively small, meaning immunizations must still be limited to those considered at high risk of complications from H1N1, including health care workers, pregnant women, and children.

The state hopes to receive more vaccine in coming weeks.
