Clark Co. Schedules Dec. 1 H1N1 Clinic

The Clark County Combined Health District will be holding another H1N1 flu clinic.

The clinic will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the Clark County Fairgrounds and will be held from 2-8 p.m. or until the vaccine runs out.

The vaccines will be at no cost, but people must be eligible to receive the vaccine. The following is who is eligible based upon the CDC guidelines:
* pregnant women
* people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
* healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
* persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old
* people ages of 25 through 64 years of age who are at higher risk for complications from H1N1 flu because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems
* NEW: Children 9 years of age and younger who have received one dose of H1N1 at least 28 days before date of clinic (for example, on October 27th , and November 3rd) are advised to receive their second dose of vaccine on Dec. 1st.

Buses will run from downtown Springfield to the Fairgrounds beginning at 1:00 p.m.
