Greene Co. Schedules H1N1 Flu Clinics

Health officials in Greene County have announced that two H1N1 flu clinics have been set for students and eligible community members in Beavercreek and Xenia.

The clinic will be providing the nasal mist only.

The first clinic is set for Nov. 17 at Xenia High School on Kinsey Road. It will be held for high school students only from 1 to 2:15 p.m. and for community members from 3 to 6 p.m.

On Nov. 19, another clinic will be held at Beavercreek High School on Dayton-Xenia Road. It will be held for high school students only from 1-3:15 p.m. and for community members from 4-7 p.m.

The nasal mist will only be distributed so the following people are eligible for the flu vaccine.

* People 49 years old or younger who live with or provide care for infants less than 6 months old
* Healthy persons 49 years or younger who are health-care or emergency medical personnel
* Healthy children and young adults aged 2 years to 24 years of age
* Pregnant women are NOT eligible for this nasal mist clinic.

Additional clinics will be set as more of the H1N1 vaccine is available.

Health officials said to visit www.gcchd.org, download, print and complete a form for each person who is to receive the vaccine.
