Posted: 11:09 am EST December 1, 2009

The Warren County Combined Health District has announced that an H1N1 flu clinic will be held for those individuals in the initial targeted group on Sat., Dec. 5.

The clinic will be held at the Warren County Fairgrounds from 8-10:30 a.m. Officials said both the nasal mist and the shot will be given.

The fairgrounds is located on North Broadway in Lebanon. There will be no charge for the vaccine.

The following individuals are eligible to receive the H1N1 flu vaccine:
* Pregnant Women
* People 6 months of age through 24 years old
* Health care workers and EMS personnel
* Caretakers of children who are younger than 6 months old
* Adults who are 25-64 years old with chronic health problems.

As recommended by the CDC, children 9 years old and under will need two doses of the H1N1 flu vaccine. If your child has received their first dose of the vaccine, there should be at least 28 days (Nov. 7) between the first and second dose.

Having your child vaccinated prior to the 28 day recommendation decreases the effectiveness of the vaccination in your child.
