Montgomery County Will Not Grant Permit

JEFFERSON TWP., Ohio -- Commissioners in Montgomery County said they willl not grant a permit to allow PermaFix to treat the VX nerve agent byproduct Hydrolysate. The announcement came during the county commission meeting Tuesday night.
The Dayton Daily News reports a sanitary engineer said there are a lot of unanswered questions, along with health and ecological risks. PermaFix must show that the community supports the company's plans to treat the Hydrolysate.
