Prostate Cancer Second Most Common Among Men

Secretary of State Colin Powell is expected to make a full recovery after surgery for prostate cancer.

His doctors said the operation to remove the prostate glad went well and the cancer has not spread. The State Department said Powell will follow a reduced schedule for a while.

Prostate cancer is the second most common form of cancer for men, next to skin cancer.

The National Cancer Institute reports 16 percent of men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Eight percent will develop symptoms and three percent will die from prostate cancer.
