MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Officials said a 13-year-old Middletown girl has tested positive for the H1N1 virus.

This is the second confirmed case of the virus in Butler County.

Health officials said the teen began suffering flu-like symptoms during the last week in May and was kept home through the end of the school year.

Officials said the teen had not traveled to Mexico or had been hospitalized with the virus.

Ohio has had 44 confirmed cases of the virus. Worldwide there are more than 26,000 cases in 73 countries.
