Gas Prices Soar To All-Time High

POSTED: 12:24 pm EDT April 22, 2008
UPDATED: 5:27 pm EDT April 22, 2008

Before dawn on Tuesday, gas was selling for around $3.34 a gallon.

Now, gas prices are selling for around $3.60 a gallon. That price was spotted at a Speedway station in Kettering, and now prices at most gas stations have jumpted to about $3.59 a gallon.

Down the street from the Speedway station, gas was still selling for $3.31 a gallon.

At this time, light, sweet crude oil for May delivery climbed above $118 a barrel, which is a record high.

Supply has been hurt by attacks on oil infrastructures in Nigeria. The oil they produce is especially desirable for the upcoming driving season.
