Carbon Motors Revisits Connersville Plant

Posted: 4:01 pm EDT June 25, 2009

Executives from a company considering building a factory in Connersville, Ind., which would mean thousands of jobs, returned to the area this week.

Carbon Motors produces environmentally friendly police cars. The company has named the former Visteon plant as one of six potential sites for its manufacturing headquarters.

It would mean 1,400 direct jobs and up to 10,000 more secondary jobs for the Connersville area.

News Center 7 was told that company leaders revisited the Visteon site to address several issues that could stand in the way of them building there. Those reasons were not disclosed.
