Posted: 4:31 pm EDT July 21, 2009

If you live in Clark County and do not have a license for your dog, now is the time to get one without getting fined.

The Humane Society of Clark County and the County Auditor have teamed up to offer pet owners one week to purchase a dog license without penalty.

From July 24 through August 1, you can purchase the dog license for $16.

You can pick one up at the Clark Co. Humane Society, the Clark County Auditor's Office or the Clark County Fair.

After the amnesty period is over, the cost will double to $32 including penalties.
