Gov. Taft Wants To Use Tax Money For Island Purchase

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Gov. Bob Taft wants to spend your tax dollars to buy an island on Lake Erie.The state and federal tax money would make North Bass Island a state park. There's already Ohio-owned parks at Put-in Bay and Middle Bass Island.Now, the state is buying more than 500 acres on North Bass Island, for nearly 17.5 million dollars.
