Heat Welcome Pacers To South Beach

(Sports Network) - The Miami Heat continue a three-game homestand Saturday when they welcome the Indiana Pacers to South Beach.

The Heat fell to .500 on the season Wednesday when Toronto's Andrea Bargnani scored a season-high 25 points, leading the Raptors over Miami, 101-95, at American Airlines Arena.

Dwyane Wade had a game-high 40 points, 11 assists and a career-high five blocks for the Heat, who have lost three of five. Wade became just the second player since blocks became an official stat to post 40 points, 10 assists and five blocks in the same game. Alvan Adams of the Phoenix Suns was the other to do it, putting together 47 points, 12 assists and five blocks in a game against Buffalo on February 22, 1977.

Shawn Marion added a season-high 20 points and 14 rebounds for Miami, while Daequan Cook had 10 points in the loss.

The Heat, who are 4-2 at home this season, will finish the homestand versus Houston on Monday.

The Pacers lost a tough one in Indianapolis on Friday. Orlando's Rashard Lewis scored 23 points, including the final seven for the Magic in overtime, as Orlando edged Indiana, 100-98, for their fifth straight victory.

T.J. Ford scored 22 for the Pacers, but he missed a last-second shot at the end of overtime.

Marquis Daniels led the way with a season-high 25 points for Indiana, which has dropped three of its last four games. Danny Granger scored 21 in defeat.

On the injury front, Heat big man Udonis Haslem is probable for the game with a sore left big toe.

Home cooking has meant a lot in this series recently with the host winning two straight and nine of the last 10 meetings in the series.
