Fire Erupts Inside Kettering Tower

DAYTON, Ohio -- Fire officials in Dayton said more than 60 firefighters were called to The Kettering Tower in downtown Dayton after a fire broke out inside the building.The fire started around 2 a.m. when a water leak sparked an electrical fire on the 23rd floor. Fire officials managed to get things under control, but there is damage to the electrical system on some of the upper floors.Official said there is no power from the 16th floor up. They said smoke filled much of the upper floors.Investigators said the building will closed Thursday and Friday and could go into next week.At this time, tenants of the building will have to assess the damage and clean up.
