Wittenberg College Students Robbed At Gunpoint

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Campus police at Wittenberg University are warning students to take extra safety precautions after two students are robbed at gunpoint outside a fraternity house on Wednesday night.Wittenberg and Springfield Police are both investigating the incident that happened outside the Fiji house on Ferncliff Road.According to reports from the Springfield Police Department, two 21-year-old fraternity brothers walked out of their building at around 10:30 Wednesday night and were approached by two men with handguns. Both students were held at gunpoint while the men took less than $100 from their wallets."He just put a gun to my head and took all my money," said Adam Morrison, a senior biology student. "It was really scary. I have never been through anything like that."The suspects are described as black males between 18 and 20 years old. One was wearing all dark clothing, and the other was wearing either a white or gray sweatshirt with dark pants.Campus police have increased patrols while the case is under investigation."Walk in pairs, walk in well lit areas, and be aware of your surroundings," said Wittenberg Police Chief Carl Loney.
