Asbestos Problems Closes 8 Floors In Kettering Tower

DAYTON, Ohio -- After last week’s electrical fire in the Kettering Tower, many tenants were just starting to return to a normal routine.However, on Thursday, their schedules were twisted again, as building officials temporarily closed eight floors in the building.It took days of cleanup after last Thursday’s fire that closed the entire building for a day. Now, an asbestos problem has been discovered.Investigators said as the firefighters worked to put out the flames, some ceiling tiles were damaged, exposing high levels of asbestos.The floors that were affected were locked down while experts conducted air quality tests.As far as the rest of the building, work continued as normal.
