Local Woman Dies From Carbon Monoxide

A family member went to visit Phyllis Russell on Saturday and discovered her sleeping peacefully in her bed, but Phyllis never woke up.

Russell came home on East David Road from grocery shopping on Friday and forgot to turn off her car in the garage.

The garage is under her bedroom and the car was running all night long.

Russell’s home was filled with carbon monoxide.

The levels of carbon monoxide were so high firefighter’s had to wear masks before entering the house.
