COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Rep. Bob Hagan Monday announced he will seek passage of a bill to strip state employees of their pension benefits if they are convicted of bribery. The Youngstown Democrat said the plan would cover all five state retirement pension systems. It would be limited to the state contribution to the employee pension plan.“Bribery in office is the most severe abuses of the public trust. The General Assembly needs to send a clear message to these crooks by stripping them of their pension benefits,”said Hagan.
