Department Of Defense Says Local Soldier Dies In Iraq
The Department of Defense announced Thursday the death of a soldier from the Miami Valley who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Edward L. Brooks, 25, of Dayton , died Aug. 29 in Ramadi, Iraq of wounds sustained from a improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 77th Armor Regiment, 2nd Team, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany.
