COLDWATER, Ohio -- The region 16 championship football game on Saturday night at Welcome Stadium between Coldwater and Clinton-Massie should be a nail-bitter.However, prior the game, a midfield check presentation could bring a tear or two among the fans from both schools.Students from Coldwater helped to raise money to help the family of a Clinton-Massie cheerleader who just had a heart transplant this week. The motto on the water tower across the street from the Coldwater school complex says “Yes WE Can,” and yes, they did.Hearing in mid-week, that Clinton-Massie Freshman Savana Coffman, 15, had a heart transplant and that the family is without insurance, the students and the community have raised thousands of dollars to help.Coffman lives in Coldwater, and has never met the students of Coldwater before. However, the students wanted to help.A check will be presented to a Clinton-Massie official for Coffman prior to a state playoff football game on Saturday.
