Mexican Market Burglarized In Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio -- Dayton police are investigating after the manager of La Michoacana called 911 to report a burglary.Manager Luis Ruiz said he arrived for work Monday morning to find that someone had broken into the store overnight.La Michoacana is a Mexican market that sells Mexican-American groceries on Troy Street.Ruiz said surveillance video shows two masked men stealing a safe full of money and payroll checks.Officers later found the safe on Deeds Avenue, but the cash and checks were gone."We are just trying to make a living the right way, the honest way," said Ruiz.Anyone with information on the burglary should contact Dayton police.Ruiz said the store will remain open as usual, but managers will be increasing security.
