Civil Rights Group Seeks Firing Of Trotwood Police Officer

TROTWOOD, Ohio -- Rev. Al Sharpton’s civil rights group is getting involved in a case of a pregnant woman who was tasered by a Trotwood police officer.The incident was recorded last month by police security cameras. The woman was tased in the neck, where her infant son watched nearby.Police said the woman became combative after she tried to leave her son with officers. She told police that she wanted officers to take him because of “domestic issues” at home.A civil rights group, the National Action Network, is calling for the police officer to be fired.Officials in Trotwood have called a news conference on Thursday.
