GM Talks At Moraine Plant Halt For The Holidays

MORAINE, Ohio -- Talks between General Motors and the union representing workers at the Moraine Assembly plant have recessed until January with no tentative agreement in place.The talks will resume after workers return from the GM holiday break, which begins Monday and runs through Jan. 1.The union is reportedly pushing the company to promise a new product for the plant. GM in Moraine now produces six sport utility vehicles.IUE-CWA Local 798 represents 2,200 hourly workers at the plant.
