Students Rally In Support Of South HS Assistant Principal

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- A very vocal protest by more than 100 South High School students in Springfield took place on Thursday morning.The students left class to rally for Assistant Principal Karl Perkins, who is on administrative leave while the district investigates claims that he posted erotic poetry online under the pseudonym Antonio Love.News Center 7 was the only station at the rally when the students stated their message loud and clear.The students chanted, “No Perkins, no school! No Perkins, no school! No Perkins, no school!!"The rally wrapped after about 20 minutes. So far, school officials said, no students have been disciplined.District officials said they continue to investigate the poetry and could decide Perkins’ fate as early as next week.Stay tuned to News Center 7 for more on this story.
