Police: 6 Students Treated After Taking Pills At School

TROY, Ohio -- Authorities in Troy said several students were taken to Upper Valley Medical Center Tuesday.Troy police said a 16-year-old female student took prescription medicine to school and then sold it to a couple of other students. Police said the students who took the pills became extremely sleepy.Authorities said several medics were dispatched to the school and took six students to the hospital. They said as many as eight students may have been involved.Officials said all six students were treated and released. The student’s injuries appeared to have been non-life-threatening.Police said the drugs that were taken were generic form of Xanax, Percoset and Seroquel, which is an antipsychotic medication.School officials said parents were called and informed of what happened. Also, authorities and school officials are trying to figure out how the teen got access to the drugs.
