Springfield Assistant Principal Releases Statement

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- An assistant principal on paid administrative leave in Springfield for reportedly positing erotic poetry online, released a statement through his attorney.Springfield South High School Assistant Principal Karl Perkins said he thanks the young men and women who participated in an effort to keep him in his current position.Last week, more than 100 students walked out of class in support of Perkins. His statement also asks that students return to class and further their education.Springfield City Schools placed Perkins on administrative leave two weeks ago after a parent complained about the alleged poetry.The district is still investigating the poetry that was reportedly posted under Perkins’ pen-name, Antonio Love.
