DAYTON, Ohio -- Gas prices at some Miami Valley service stations have fallen to $2.99 a gallon. It was a welcome sight as drivers hit the road for the Easter weekend.

Triple A said the average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline in the Miami Valley was $3.14 a gallon. While $2.99 seems low, this time last year a gallon of unleaded was $2.52 a gallon.

Triple A said drivers should fill up right away, because oil companies will soon be switching to the more expensive summer blends.
