WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio -- Authorities said felony charges have been approved against a member of West Carrollton’s city council.

Montgomery County prosecutors approved felony charges of receiving stolen property against Jody Jones on Monday.

Jones’ ex-husband and a former Dollar General store employee face felony theft charges, prosecutors said.

Police in Moraine served a search warrant at the Jones’ store called Jody’s… A Little Bit Of Everything, which is located on Springboro Pike. Last week, police said they found stolen Dollar General merchandise for sale in Jones’ store.

The case will now be presented to a grand jury for possible indictments.
