Police in Xenia said they are looking for the driver of a pickup truck they said hit a man in a parking lot and took off.

The incident happened around 4:45 a.m. in the Papa Murphy’s parking lot on West Main Street in Xenia.

Police said a girl who works at Papa Murphy’s apparently left her car there, and took off with a man in a pickup truck. They said her boyfriend found out, and showed up there to wait for them.

Officers said the girl and the man she left with returned around 4:45 a.m. They said the boyfriend who is 19 got out of his car and started banging on the window of the pickup truck.

Police said the girl got out of the truck and the driver of the pickup truck backed up and took off, knocking the boyfriend to the ground, running over and breaking his leg.

Medics were called to the scene and took the boyfriend to a local hospital.

Officers are now trying to figure out who the man in the pickup truck is.
