XENIA, Ohio -- Jurors reached a guilty verdict on Monday in the case of a Xenia woman charged with stabbing and killing her neighbor with an ice pick.

Sandra Matthews began to sob in the courtroom when the verdict was announced and her teenage daughter left the courtroom overcome with emotion.

Jurors listened to the case for more than a week and deliberated for a day and a half before returning a guilty verdict, prosecutors said.

Matthews will be sentenced May 9.
