XENIA, Ohio -- A woman convicted of driving an ice pick through her roommate's ear and into her skull has been sentenced to life in prison.A Greene County judge on Friday said 54-year-old Sandra Matthews-Johnson would not be eligible for parole.Prosecutors said that Matthews-Johnson killed Ottie Tomlinson in August after they argued at their home in Xenia in southwestern Ohio. Prosecutors said Tomlinson was going to kick out Matthews-Johnson for being jobless and failing to do housework.Jurors heard testimony that the 67-year-old Tomlinson repeatedly told police and medics after her attack that "Sandy stabbed me."Matthews-Johnson's defense attorney argued that a witness who lived with the women was a liar who could have killed Tomlinson. He also said the woman may have fallen onto the ice pick.
