Showers and thunderstorms raced across the Miami Valley Sunday, making it a wet Mother’s Day.

“I would rather have a sunny Mother’s Day,” said Osdela Agudo of Dayton. “I was planning on going outside and doing some gardening.”

May is usually the wettest month of the year in Dayton, but some people said they’ve had enough.

“We had all that rain last week, now we’re getting this, it’s too much,” said Fred Fecher of Dayton.

A funnel cloud was spotted in the Columbus area, but there are no reports of any injuries or damage.
