Deputies: Mother's Day Shooting Turns Fatal

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Authorities said a shooting on Mother’s Day in Harrison Township has turned fatal.Deputies said a man who was shot on Sunday died early Monday morning at a local hospital.The shooting happened at the Northland Village Apartments. Deputies said the man who shot ran door to door, seeking help from neighbors before he collapsed on a front step.As the man was knocking on doors, a neighbor called 911, saying that someone had fatally shot a young black man in the street.According to deputies, investigators are not sure where the actual shooting happened, but they do know that the victim went door to door, asking for help.A K-9 unit was brought out to trace the victim’s path and to find out more information about the whereabouts of the shooter. Witnesses said the shooter fled the scene after pulling the trigger.At this time, the name of the victim has not been confirmed. Deputies said they do have a name of a suspect.The shooting remains under investigation.
