Troopers said a semi and two cars collided in the westbound lanes of Route 35 near Stringtown Road. They said the crash happened between Jamestown and Xenia.

Investigators said a car and a Jeep were traveling together and slower than the posted speed limit. They said a semi came from behind, not realizing that the vehicles were traveling slow and slammed into the back of the Jeep, pushing it into the median.

Troopers said the Jeep then struck the car, pushing it into a field.

Careflight was called and took the female driver of the car to Miami Valley Hospital. Investigators said a man in the Jeep was taken by ambulance to Miami Valley Hospital.

Authorities said the westbound lanes were shut down while the crash was being investigated.

The crash remains under investigation.
