TROY, Ohio -- A New Carlisle man who drives to work in Troy everyday is still buying gas at almost $4 a gallon.

However, he now refuses to buy snacks and drinks from the convenience store at the gas stations where he fuels up.

Alvin Akers shares the frustrations of the prices of gasoline. He is currently boycotting the stores by not buying coffee and pop. He wants others to follow suit.

Leon Rogers and his wife have been operating Roger’s Deli-Mart in Greenville for 22 years on Martin Street. He said when he opened the station in 1986, gasoline was 99.9 cents a gallon.

Rogers said that a boycott on buying items from the convenience stores at gasoline stations would only last "a couple days."
