PIQUA, Ohio -- A Piqua mother of four children, was placed on three years of community control and classified as a tier 1 sex offender for having sex with a 15-year-old boy.

Amie Teets, 26, of Piqua, was sentenced in Miami County Common Pleas Court Monday afternoon on a felony charge of importuning.

As a tier 1 sex offender, Teets is required to register her address with the sheriff in the county where she is living for the next 15 years.

The boy told Piqua police that the sexual conduct occurred on several occasions.

Teets told police she thought the boy was 16-years old.
