Darke County sheriff's detectives are investigating the death of a man found in weeds along an old railroad bed Monday afternoon off Union City-Beamsville Road, just east of Union City, Ohio.

The man was identified as James. A. Riley, 46, of Union City, Ohio. He lived nearby where the body was found at 1:15 p.m.

Riley had been missing since late Sunday afternoon.

There was no obvious signs of trauma or evidence of a struggle at the scene, according to Detective Sgt. Mark Whittaker from the Darke County Sheriff's Department.

The body was removed to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office in Dayton for an autopsy.
