Harrison Twp. Hotel Burns; Arson Suspected

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Fire struck a vacant hotel Wednesday around 6:30 p.m.The fire happened at the Parkway Inn on Wagoner Ford Road, firefighters said.Firefighters said we they arrived on scene around 6:30 p.m. there were some flames but heavy smoke coming from the structure. They quickly got the fire out but had to bring in nine additional units to assist because of how big the structure was.The hotel has been closed for two years and one Englewood suffered from minor injuries battling the blaze, firefighters said.The State Fire Marshal's Office came to the scene to investigate and officials said the fire could be arson.The estimated damage is about $400,000.
