DAYTON, Ohio -- General Motors workers in the Dayton area will have until June 5th to decide whether to accept a company buyout. The deadline was extended to allow Moraine plant workers additional time to consider the offer, factoring in the UAW strike against American Axel and Manufacturing. The strike left thousands of employees without materials needed to perform their jobs.Workers who have been with General Motors ten years or more, are being offered 140-thousand dollars to leave the company payroll. Those with fewer than ten years of service are being offered 70-thousand.
