Turner, Brown, Voinovich Seek Investigation Into DHL Job Losses

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Ohio delegates want the Justice Department to take a closer look at DHL’s plan to eliminate up to 8,000 jobs in Wilmington.Rep. Mike Turner and senators Sherrod Brown and George Voinovich, along with a bipartisan group of legislators sent a letter to Attorney General Michael Mukasey.They are requesting a closer look at DHL’s potential agreement with United Parcel Systems. The deal would eliminate the need for the hub in Wilmington.Brown said the proposal raises several serious questions about fair competition.
